Artist’s Statement

I am an artist from Canton, Massachusetts. My education in art never progressed beyond sixth grade. I didn't begin to seriously draw until after I began my transition from male to female in May of 2010. I have experimented with poetry and music throughout my twenties and thirties. After recording an Ep in 2009 I began doodling on CDs with Sharpie markers. I received such a positive response from the CDs that I went out and bought a sketch book. In only eight months, the book was full of 103 drawings. I began working on individual pieces that are now the exhibit Proud To Be in January 2012.
