Artist’s Statement
My goal in art is to create unique, one-of-a-kind images that resonate immediately with viewers in a positive way. I create only originals, no copies or prints are made. You own the only one!
I seek to create dynamic visual interplays that offer a unique balancing of: flow and structure, peace and exploration, play and focus, chaos and clarity, fact and fantasy, motion and stillness, known and unknowable, ancient and contemporary, serenity and wildness, mind and nature, poetry and prose, fire and water, earth and sky, ebb and flow, past and present, time and eternity, space and infinity, wild energy and serene stillness.
Ideally, the images present a sense of spatial vastness and childlike wonder, offering an experience of the mystery and magik of life’s journey. The style has been called organic abstract, lyrical naturalism, and poetic realism.
The beach is a primary source of current research. The elemental, oceanic flow all-ways inspires me deeply!! I believe in natural highs!!
The artworks are hand-mounted into acrylic paint using recycled items and "found objects" as tools, then hand-mounted on recycled mat boards. No brushes, pens, pencils, or flairs are used.
Paintings are available in several sizes and colors, and may be purchased for $25.
